NEXUS and Guests
Dublin/Berlin-based composer and performer of sparse ambient electronica mixed with elements from breakbeat and glitch. Nexus' live shows are unique due to the use of homemade electronics including an interface which tracks the movement of small objects such as gameboy cartridges and chess pieces to control sound events through the entire set which adds an engaging element to live electronics. These interfaces have been on public display in the form of interactive installations, but mostly play the part of instruments in live performances. Nexus has performed with EMC, Creator, Herv, Miles Iwes, T-woc, Sarsparilla, Cignol, Dave Moran, The Last Sound and has gained performances at the Project Arts Centre, UCC, NUIM, Mantua Festival and Life Festival.
