The Hands of the Wrong People kommen aus Berlin, Deutschland, und es gibt sie in verschiedenen Formen und europäischen Städten seit 2001. Dominic, der in Schottland aufwuchs, spielt Gitarre, singt und arrangiert Lieder, zusammen mit Robert aus Leipzig am Schlagzeug und dem Berliner Pius am Bass.
Sie haben in Deutschland bereits zwei EPs herausgebracht und legen jetzt mit Spring Flakes ihr erstes Full Length Album vor, das auf dem in Portland USA basierten Independent Label, Peapod Recordings, erschienen ist. Die Lieder beziehen ihre Einflüsse aus scheinbar so verschiedenen Genres wie schottischem 80er Jahre Pop, 90er Jahre Chicago-Stil Post-Rock und zeitgenössischem Underground-Folk. Stellen Sie sich den Jazz-lastigen Rock von Karate kombiniert mit dem pseudo-Chic Postcard Label Funk von Orange Juice, Josef K und dem sauberen Pop-Klirren der frühen Aztec Camera vor, und Sie haben eine ungefähre Vorstellung vom Sound der Hands of the Wrong People. Die Texte besprechen Beziehungen und Politik im gleichen Atemzug, und vermischen sie mit einem täuschend traditionellen Line-up aus Gitarre, Bass & Drums zu einer subtilen Form der Protestmusik.

The Hands Of The Wrong People are based in Berlin, Germany, and have existed in various forms and European cities since 2001. Dominic, who grew up in Scotland plays guitar, sings and arranges songs together with Robert, from Leipzig, on drums and Berlin native Pius on bass.
Having produced 2 self-released EPs in Germany, Spring Flakes is their first full length album. It was recorded in Portland, USA and is released on the Portland based independent label, Peapod Recordings. Songs draw from such seemingly disparate genres such as 80s Scottish pop, 90s Chicago style post-rock and contemporary underground folk. Imagine the jazz-influenced rock of Karate mixed with the pseudo-Chic Postcard label funk of Orange Juice, Josef K and the clean pop jangle of early Aztec Camera, and you begin to get a sense of the sound of The Hands Of The Wrong People. The lyrics address relationships & politics in the same breath, becoming a subtle form of protest music performed on the deceptively traditional lineup of guitar, bass & drums.
